Top Ten Tuesday: Books With The Word Summer In The Title

Hi and welcome back to another Top Ten Tuesday post! I skipped last week as the topic was not too handy for me as I’m super out of the loop with new releases. One of my reading goals for this year is to declutter and read as many backlist books on my TBR as possible, so focusing on new releases is not on my priority list. Moreover, I was on holiday, so the circumstances to bloghop weren’t ideal. I therefore decided to skip last week and come back this week. However, I’ll take it easy, as I have so much catching up to do on both my blogs! What about 20+ reviews? Yes, still… So as today’s topic is kind of a freebie as we’re allowed to pick any word we fancy, I decided to go with Books with the word “summer” in the title. I just returned from my summer holidays after all. Again, this list doesn’t necessarily contain books I have read or are on my TBR, there could be a random pick in it as well. Without further ado, let’s take a look at my 10 picks for books with the word summer in the title!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

  1. The Summer I turned Pretty by Jenny Han (random pick)
  2. Summer in the City by Alex Aster (random pick)
  3. This Summer Will Be Different by Carley Fortune (read, review)
  4. Just For the Summer by Abby Jimenez (TBR)
  5. It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey (read)
  6. These Summer Storms by Sarah MacClean (TBR)
  7. Same Time Next Summer by Annabel Monaghan (random pick)
  8. Till Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn (random pick)
  9. The Second Summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares (random pick)
  10. The Summer Guests by Tess Gerritsen (random pick)

Have you read any of these books? And what book(s) with the word “summer” in the title come to mind for you?

Nice word choice and title picks too!! These are all new to me ones for sure! I wouldn’t have gotten far with this word myself. Lol.

    Thanks for visiting my TTT!

  14. I’ve seen a couple other lists today centered on the word “summer”, and you’re the first person to include The Summer I Turned Pretty! I have a love/hate relationship with that series lol.

  15. I’m curious to try Carley Fortune.

  16. I almost picked the word “summer” too!
I thought of “beach” first and then “summer” but went with “library” in the end. From your list, I’ve only read The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, but I’m adding the Abby Jimenez book to my TBR now!

  17. Surprisingly, I don’t think I’ve read too many books with summer in the title. It does make me think of more contemporary books though, so your list isn’t too surprising.

  18. Great word choice and book selection! Happy Tuesday!

  19. Nice word choice! It’s winter down here in Melbourne, so your list makes me dream of summer.

That Tess Gerritsen was on my list too, and I enjoyed it but definitely read book 1 in the series first!

  21. I have several of these on my own TBR so I hope you enjoy them once you get to them!
Thank you for visiting my post 🙂

  22. I’m realizing I haven’t read too many books with Summer in the title except for the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants one, I loved that series as a teen and I also read the Summer Boys series around that time too!

  23. “Summer” is a great word choice! I haven’t read any of these…yet.

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
