Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My Spring 2026 TBR

Hello and welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! Today is the day we will either love or regret in a few months. The day has come to set our Spring 2026 TBR! Although I have proven to be quite successful with these seasonal TBRโ€™s in recent years, it still is a bit confronting when looking back on them every single time. Why you may ask? Well, simple. Iโ€™m a mood reader and sometimes donโ€™t feel like reading the books Iโ€™ve promised myself to read when curating the particular TBR. Will I do better this season? Time to find out in a couple of months! What books do I hope to have knocked off by then? Letโ€™s take a look!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

  1. Dream Count by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie โ€“ I actually put this on my March TBR, but I doubt I will manage to finish it. However, March is the start of Spring, so letโ€™s put it on this TBR as well, shall we?
  2. Cleopatra by Saara El-Arifi โ€“ This is another of my March possibilities, but I donโ€™t own an ebook copy yet. I thought I would be fine with the audiobook, but I heard people not vibing with this and having the feeling the audiobook contributes to that feeling. I therefore want to play it safe and get myself the ebook.
  3. Promise Me Sunshine by Cara Bastone โ€“ I thrive on contemporary books in the warmer seasons, so there should definitely be some romance on the TBR. I think this is a good one.
  4. Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez โ€“ Guess whoโ€™s back, back againโ€ฆ the difference this time is that I actually was about to pick this book up over the weekend, but found out I never got a copy. So I finally got one and now I can knock it off of the TBR. I only owned Just For the Summer so far, which is book three in this interconnected series.
  5. Very Bad Elite by Jane S. Wonda โ€“ I will definitely pick up this book soon, Iโ€™m taking it from my winter TBR to this one.
  6. Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood โ€“ Letโ€™s give this book another chance, it has seen multiple TBRโ€™s by now. This author is truly a hit or miss for me, so this is why Iโ€™m a bit cautious.
  7. Rewind It Back by Liz Tomforde โ€“ I already thought I would have read this one by now, but Iโ€™m very excited to do so!
  8. The Correspondent by Virginia Evans โ€“ I have seen this book literally everywhere the past months and I got myself the audiobook on Audible. Iโ€™m really curious as this is not the book I would typically pick up, but Iโ€™m interested nevertheless.
  9. When the Cranes Fly South by Lisa Ridzรฉn โ€“ Iโ€™ve seen plenty of buzz for this book here in the Netherlands, so naturally this made me curious. Itโ€™s kind of a slow read, which is often a hit or miss for me. Letโ€™s see how this one will work out.
  10. The South by Tash Aw โ€“ As already mentioned in my spring 2025 reflection post, I already was sure I would have read this book by now. It doesnโ€™t seem that long, and moreover, something I would enjoy. So, this book gets a new chance, on a shiny new TBR!

What books do you gravitate more towards in spring? Are there any books we have in common this season?

  1. Hope you enjoy them all. I love any book by Abby Jimenez and plan to listen to her new one very soon. I bought the Correspondent because I too heard how good it is.

  2. Well itโ€™s Autumn for me but Iโ€™m not a seasonal reader, or even necessarily a mood reader. I would like to read The Correspondant but itโ€™s probably going to have to wait til Winter.
    Thanks for sharing your #TTT

  3. These look good. Enjoy them when you get to them!

    Have a great week!

  4. I am hoping the read The Correspondent this summer. It just sounds amazing. Promise Me Sunshine also sounds good!

  5. I am hoping to read Tomforde this year! I hope you enjoy all of these when you get to them.

  6. May you enjoy them all!

  7. Dream Count has a lot to say to women. The Correspondent is quite good, too.

  8. The Correspondent is wonderful. I see it’s being adapted for the screen which is exciting!

  9. I have a hard time sticking to lists as well. I hope you enjoy the ones you decide to read!

Not in Love was good in my opinion but definitely spicier than some of her other books. I hope it works for you this time!

  12. I don’t think I have a particular genre I stick to at any time of year. The one exception may be Christmas themed reads. Those tend to either be in July or December. I hope you enjoy reading all of these when you get the chance!

Here’s my TTT for the week: https://readbakecreate.com/spring-2026-tbr-ten-books-i-hope-to-read/

  13. I loved Promise Me Sunshine! I sobbed in it though.
Despite loving Ali Hazelwood’s earlier work, Not In Love was where it all started to go a bit wrong for me. That one is my least fave of hers.

  14. It looks like you have some good reading ahead, Laurie. I’ve read and enjoyed The Correspondent and Part of Your World. Cleopatra is on my TBR shelf. I hope you enjoy all of these upcoming books.

  15. I’d like to check out Promise Me Sunshine — I’ve read two of her books before, and enjoyed them both. The Correspondent is terrific! Hope you enjoy your spring reading.

  16. I’m the same. I rarely actually read the majority of the books I put on my seasonal TBR lists. I enjoy making them, though! I hope you enjoy whatever you read this spring.

    Happy TTT!

I’ve seen The Correspondent around too. I might have to reserve a copy from my library. Hope you enjoy all on your list!

  18. Cleopatra sounds so good! But format can make a huge difference, so it’s worth making sure you give it its best shot ๐Ÿ™‚

I love Aly Jimenez books! And Ali Hazelwood too!

  20. I hope you enjoy all these!

  21. I don’t really gravitate towards any type of book, depending on the season or otherwise. Crime and historical fiction are my go-to throughout the entire year.

Hope you enjoy all the books on your list when you get around to reading them!

  22. I am not sure that I gravitate more towards certain kinds of books in the spring, but I am using StoryGraph this year to see what it is that I do gravitate to and so far it has been nothing but surprises ๐Ÿ˜†!

I have read The Correspondent and loved it; it is sneaky good. From your list, I want to read When the Cranes Fly South, which is popular enough here to have a Wait/Hold list. ๐Ÿ’š

  23. Great line-up! I have an Abby Jimenez book coming up soon as well… Although a different one (Say You’ll Remember Me). I hope you will enjoy them all!

  24. I have been wanting to read The Correspondent too but I keep forgetting to pick up a copy! I need to write it down somewhere so I don’t forget. I hope you enjoy it and all these other books!
