It has been eons since I did one of these, my last WWW Wednesday post was on October 23, 2025. Whoops! After that, I was in a huge reading funk, and it only took me until now to regain my reading mojo. Or at least, that’s what I am hoping for. So, it’s finally time for another WWW Wednesday post! What am I reading? What have I been Reading? And, what will I be reading next? Let’s take a look!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, where bloggers share the books that they’ve recently finished, what they are currently reading and what books they are planning to read next. Essentially you have to answer three questions (the Three Ws): What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? Since I’m a mood reader, you have to take my last W with a grane of salt though. So, let’s take a look into my 3 W’s, shall we?

What are you currently reading?

Currently I’m close to 3/4 of A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross. This book has been on my TBR since 2022, but only acquired the audiobook with one of my spare credits in fall/winter last year. It therefore was on my TBR for this winter and as I hardly read anything of that pile, it was time to change that. Whereas I always have sort of trouble with getting into Ross’ books, I feel like I had no struggles with that this time around. The audiobook narration is fabulous as this tale is inspired by Scottish folklore and is set on an isle that is also inspired by Scotland. The narrator performs the narration with a Scottish accent, which provides an extra atmospheric layer to the story. As the book is quite slow-paced, this is not a story for everyone.

What did you recently finish reading?

Okay okay, I’m cheating a bit on this one. I had a week off work last week and the sun was out, so this helped me to get quite some reading done. I started this week with Half His Age by Jennette McCurdy. I had high expectations after I’m Glad My Mom Died, but these unfortunately weren’t met. My review will be up sometime soon.

This utterly disappointing reading experience was followed up by a much better one: The Lion Women of Tehran by Marjan Kamali. I was captivated from start to finish, partially due to the audiobook narration. Safe to say that I finished it in about 24 hours.

Then, it took me a day to pick up another book, which also took me quite a while to finish. Some circumstances prevented me from reading that book faster than I did. This is a Dutch romance with themes such as prejudices. It’s called Amber & Emir and is written by Eveline Heijnen. As this book is Dutch, this won’t be reviewed on this blog.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Hmmm… I still have three books on my March TBR, so I better pick up one of these. I’m doubting between Dream Count by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronté though. There’s another one, but that one is a pretty quick read I can squeeze in at any moment.

So, how is your WWW?

  1. Half His Age has been on so many peoples reading lists the last few weeks. I hadn’t seen any sort of feedback until now. That’s too bad. I haven’t read her other book yet, but everyone seemed to love that one.
