Top Ten Tuesday: Books With Ordinal Numbers In The Title

Hi and welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post! This one is so late for what I’m used to, but I wasn’t sure whether to participate this week in the first place. This week’s topic is not the easiest one: Ordinal Numbers. March 10: Book Titles Featuring Ordinal Numbers (Ordinal numbers are numbers that define an item’s place in a series. For example: first, second, third, fourth, tenth, fourteenth, thirty-third, one hundredth, etc.). This topic is submitted by Joanne @ Portobello Book Blog. I have a mixture of books I’ve read myself, and ones I randomly plucked from Goodreads.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

  1. Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros (read)
  2. The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin (read)
  3. The First to Die at the End by Adam Silvera (random pick)
  4. The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee (read)
  5. The Fourth Monkey by J.D. Barker (read)
  6. 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari (random pick)
  7. Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo (read)
  8. The Eleventh Metal by Brandon Sanderson (random pick)
  9. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey (random pick)
  10. The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult (random pick)

Have you read any of these books?

  14. I’ve read, and thoroughly enjoyed, both Fourth Wing and The Fifth Wave.

    Great list!

  15. You found some unusual numbers which I haven’t seen elsewhere. And you are the only other person who also did the 21 Lessons for the 21st Century. Loved that.
