It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time to look back on the past week’s reading, to look into my current reads and to look forward to the week ahead. I had kind of a productive reading week to be honest.
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, where bloggers share the books that they’ve recently finished, what they are currently reading and what books they are planning to read next. Essentially you have to answer three questions (the Three Ws): What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? Since I’m a mood reader, you have to take my last W with a grane of salt though. So, let’s take a look into my 3 W’s, shall we?
What are you currently reading?
I’m finally picking something up from the monthly TBR I’ve set for myself. I was supposed to read The Rose Bargain by Sasha Peyton Smith in July as it was on my monthly TBR back then, but I obviously didn’t get to it. Now I’m nearly finished and I honestly am not sure if this will be a 3-star or 4-star read. I’m a little on the fence. It definitely is a fast read and has some interesting elements, but on the other hand it’s predictable and there are several elements that aren’t really logic.
What did you recently finish reading?
I started this week by racing through Just Some Stupid Love Story by Katelyn Doyle. I will put my review up soon, but the story unfortunately lives up to its title. This was quite expected, I really don’t know what drew me into this book and why I bought it in the first place.
After finishing this, I picked up a Dutch YA novel about a girl with a terminal illness who knows she doesn’t have a long time in this life anymore. Just 27 days to be exact. She wants to do one last thing, one last thing to make an impact that will last a lifetime. This book is called Nog 27 dagen leven and is written by Maren Stoffels who, in fact, has some books translated into English. This one is not amongst them unfortunately. It took me a while longer than expected to finish it, but this had to do with time.
What do you think you’ll read next?
As per usual, I’m not sure what I will be reading next. I think I will pick up something from my monthly TBR so I can finish this for once, but I might also pick something else. I have no clue, will keep you posted somehow.
What do you think I’ll be reading next?
