WWW Wednesday | 04/30/2025

It has been a little while since I did one of these, but it’s time for another WWW Wednesday! I have been a bit slacking in both my reading and blogging, but here is a little recap of the past week.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, where bloggers share the books that they’ve recently finished, what they are currently reading and what books they are planning to read next. Essentially you have to answer three questions (the Three Ws): What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? Since I’m a mood reader, you have to take my last W with a grane of salt though. So, let’s take a look into my 3 W’s, shall we?

What are you currently reading?

As I’ve been a bit slumping this past month, I hardly touched my TBR I set for April. Howeverr, I read one of the potentials and am now reading a book I actually put on this TBR, The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater. I’m not too far in yet, but I hope to be able to finish it by tonight so I can count it towards my April wrap up.

What did you recently finish reading?

During Easter, I decided to subscribe to KoboPlus as I’m not satisfied with the maximum listening speed on Storytel anymore. After finishing The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata (review up on Saturday), I decided to do a reread of A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas. I prefer rereading books when I try out a new streaming platform, so I can figure this whole thing out. I already know the story so I can focus more on the experience with the app et cetera instead of having full focus on the book. I still was sucked into this story once again though. So much that I decided to reread A Court of Mist and Fury afterwards. Once I finished this on Monday, I found out that Watch Me by Tahereh Mafi was out in the world on Tuesday. I found the ebook with a nice discount, so bought it straight away. And since the weather outside is gorgeous, I was working remote and wanted to read outside, I decided to immediately dive into this book. I’ll be posting my review early next week, this to give people more time before they find reviews for this book. And I have thoughts…

What do you think you’ll read next?

This really depends on the weather, because this quite dictates my reading mood. However, the temperatures are dropping again next week (it’s 20+ degrees now), and I am off work the upcoming two weeks, I definitely don’t know what I’ll be in the mood for. I’m known for making lots of reading plans and actually reading the bare minimum when I’m off, so let’s see what I am and am not in the mood for. Maybe it’s James by Percival Everett, or another romance book. To be continued!

  1. I look forward to your thoughts on Watch Me – I haven’t read it yet and I’m curious to see what people think before picking it up.

    1. Review is scheduled for Sunday 👀

  2. I’m currently reading book 4 of the In Death books by JD Robb. It’s over 20 years since I last read these early ones so could remember very little
    I’ve finished:-
Darik’s Quest by Veronica Scott. The Marriage Claim by Evie Mitchell
Sins of Leo by Eve Langlais.
    Presumed Guilty by Tess Gerritson.
Love, Lies, and Whiskey by Melissa Foster.
Missing in Death by JD Robb.
Naked in Death by JD Robb.
Glory in Death by JD Robb. In Death #2.
Not sure what next. Whether to continue with the In Death books. Or something else. Decisions decisions

  3. Hopefully, KoboPlus will be better for you, Laurie! The weather has been gorgeous over here in Bulgaria too, and it is so nice to be outside before the heatwaves come through. I loved The Dream Thieves and the whole series fingers crossed you do too and can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it 🙂

    1. I’m not sure if it’s the way how I subscribed, but I am missing English audiobooks and that sucks.

  4. I have re-read The Raven Cycle two times to try and keep going with the series. I have yet to do that. haha. I need to! I hope you were able to get it finished.
