Top Ten Tuesday: Books Including Books

Welcome back to another Top Ten Tuesday! Time is going so incredibly fast, it’s already the middle of March. Today’s topic was quite easy for me as I had much room to kind of choose my own adventure for this week. This week’s topic is Books that Include/Feature [fill in the blank]. We’re all book lovers here, so what better way to express this love even more by listing ten books including books?

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

  1. The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods
  2. The Keeper of Hidden Books by Madeline Martin
  3. Miss Morgan’s Book Brigade by Janet Skeslien Charles
  4. The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman
  5. Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley
  6. The Book Swap By Tessa Bickers
  7. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
  8. The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes
  9. The Book of Doors by Gareth Brown
  10. The Book that Wouldn’t Burn by Mark Lawrence

Have you read any of these books? What books including books are your favourite and would you recommend to others?

  1. I like books that are somehow about books.

  2. I love books that have books in them!

A great list. I’ve got my mum The Lost Bookshop for Mother’s Day.

    Have a great week!

Some great books there. I loved The Book Swap and The Giver of Stars.

Thanks for visiting my blog earlier.

  7. Great topic! The Book Thief is so good, even if heartbreaking. I have several of these others on my TBR

  8. I absolutely love books that revolve around books. You have some excellent choices on your list.

  9. Great choice for a topic, Laurie. I love books about books. I have read four of these. One of the first books I blogged about was The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katrina Bivald. I really enjoyed it.

  10. Love, love, love books about books!

  11. Great list this week, Laurie! I haven’t seen anyone else talk about this topic this week, and I always love finding a good book about books. Also, as book lovers, I think we are required to enjoy books about books!

I haven’t read any of these, but have a few on my TBR. I also enjoyed Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson and Recommended for You by Laura Silverman, which are both YA books centered around a library and a bookstore, and even if it doesn’t directly focus on books, The Woman in the Library by Sulari Gentill was a good locked-door mystery in a library.

  12. Ooh nice! I don’t think I’ve encountered too many books within books that played a larger role in the story. Occasionally a character is reading something but I feel like the books within books are just books and rarely get titles.

    Thanks for visiting my TTT!

  13. I’ve only read The Book Thief from your list. Janet Skeslien Charles also wrote another book about books, The Paris Library, which I enjoyed.

  14. Great topic! I love bookish books. They’re always so relatable 🙂 I’ve actually read only two of the books you listed, although many of the others are on my TBR list.

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

  15. Books about books are a favorite of mine! Great pick for this week. I still need to read that Mark Lawrence book one of these days.

Thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier!

  16. Nice choice of topic! I loved Words in Deep Blue and The Book Thief. I think that’s the only two I’ve read from this list.

  17. Books about books are so fun!

  18. I read and enjoyed The Bookish Life of Nina Hill. I would also recommend 84 Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff, I’d Rather Be Reading by Anne Bogel, What You Are Looking For Is In the Library by Michiko Aoyama, and Bookshops and Bonedust by Travis Baldree. Thanks for the list and happy reading!

  19. The Book Thief is one of my absolute favorites. Great list!

  20. Great topic, Laurie. I’ve done that before. I have only read The Book Thief but that was absolutely fantastic.

So I chose expats this week.
