It has been a minute since I last did one of these, but it’s time for a weekly reading recap using WWW Wednesday. What did my reading week look like?
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, where bloggers share the books that they’ve recently finished, what they are currently reading and what books they are planning to read next. Essentially you have to answer three questions (the Three Ws): What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? Since I’m a mood reader, you have to take my last W with a grane of salt though. So, let’s take a look into my 3 W’s, shall we?
What are you currently reading?
I finally am reading Tokyo Dreaming by Emiko Jean right now after announcing “I definitely will be reading it soon” for the longest of times. When writing this post, I’m not even past chapter 1, because I started on quite an inconvenient moment. To be continued.
What did you recently finish reading?
Lately, I’m developing the habit of not picking any book up when I’m off work. So, this eventually means I barely get any reading done during the weekends. I have no idea what’s leading me to this habit, but I hope it will change once the seasons are changing and I am able to sit and read outside again. So, in the past week I only read Spark of the Everflame by Penn Cole. My review will be up tomorrow.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Truly, I have no idea. I have so many options, but I’m not sure what I will be in the mood for. Will I read another fantasy/romantasy? Or a historical fiction? Or a contemporary romance? The following books are in my “Up next” queue on The StoryGraph:
- Splintered by A.G. Howard
- Dragon Rider by Taran Matharu (am I ready for another dragon story yet?)
- The Reality of Everything by Rebecca Yarros (am I ready for another novel by Rebecca Yarros yet?)
- Heavenly Tyrant by Xiran Jay Zhao
- Prodigy by Marie Lu
But I also have Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales by Heather Fawcett I would love to read before winter is over, Heir by Sabaa Tahir I only hear positive things about, and some books left on my Winter TBR. Oh, the struggles!
What book do you think I should read next?
