Top Ten Tuesday: Romances On My TBR

I know I’ve been a bit absent yet again the past days, but not without reason. I’m reading a book that’s not suitable for this blog as it’s a Dutch one, so there is not much to post at the moment. However, today it’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday post. This week is a love freebie, and I will be posting a topic that is connected to this Friday’s Let’s Talk Bookish one. That’s a discussion post about romance and its tropes, so for today I decided to list some romances on the TBR. Last year I’ve read many books within the genre, but what do I have left? Well, a lot. Here’s just 10 of them, in no particular order. Links will direct you to the book page on Goodreads.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

  1. All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata – I’ve read a book by this author several years ago and I collected some more on the TBR afterwards. However, I haven’t read any of them yet. This is her latest novel as far as I’m concerned.
  2. Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales – I collected nearly all Sophie Gonzales books back in my YA days, but I only read one so far. I’m planning to read more of my old books soon, so this one will be amongst them.
  3. Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood – I have a love hate relationship with books by this author, I’ve only liked one so far. But I keep coming back, I keep trying them out in hopes to find another book I love. This is still on the TBR, but it’s not that old though.
  4. Just Some Stupid Love Story by Katelyn Doyle – I bought this book on a whim last year, because the synopsis sounded fun for summer. However, the reviews aren’t that great and of course I haven’t read it. I’ll give it a try and see for myself, I guess!
  5. For the Fans by Nyla K – I have this book on my TBR, but don’t own an ebook yet. I just don’t know why really.
  6. Here We Go Again by Alison Cochrun – A book I stumbled upon, but haven’t bought yet either. I will though, because I really enjoyed The Charm Offensive by this author.
  7. This Could Be Us by Kennedy RyanBefore I Let Go was a book I thoroughly enjoyed, even though it was such an emotional ride. I can’t wait to dive into this second book in the “Skyland” series.
  8. The Graham Effect by Elle Kennedy – I thought I would already have read this book by now, but nope.
  9. Throttled by Lauren Asher – I actually have several books by this author left to read, but I just picked one LOL.
  10. Twisted Lies by Ana Huang – I keep postponing this read because I just don’t seem to like Stella very much. I will pick it up eventually though.

Have you read any of these romances? If so, which one should I pick up first?

  2. Great list. I still have Huang, Asher, and Ryan on my TBR as authors to try. I hope you enjoy these when you get to them!

  3. I want to read some more Ali Hazelwood. I’ve only read two of her books, but The Love Hypothesis was the book that got me to read Romance as a genre.

    Have a great week!

  4. I read a lot of romance, but have not read any of these, not are they on my TBR. My post today was Amish Fiction, as they all have romance in them.

  5. I hope you like all of them. 🙂

I like a good romance, especially historical romance. I hope you enjoy all of these when you get the chance! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

  7. I loved All Rhodes Lead Here! Hope you’ll love all of these!

  8. Oh Golly. I’d love to give you advice on what to read next, but I’ve not read any of your titles. Sigh.

    1. I understand, they are pretty mainstream.

  9. Not In Love was not my fave Ali Hazelwood but it seems to be that if people didn’t love her others, they do tend to like that one more!

  10. I haven’t read any of the books on your list, but I’ve read and liked The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. Enjoy!

  11. I’ve read Perfect on Paper, and remember really liking it! I read a few Ali Hazelwood, and feel like that’s enough — I really liked the first I read, but then started feeling like they were all the same. I’d like to check out more by Alison Cochrun! I read one of her books (the Charm Offensive) and thought it was really fun. Great list!

  12. Several of these are on my TBR but I haven’t gotten to them yet! I hope we both enjoy them when we do. 🙂

  13. I’ve heard of Ali Hazelwood, but I’ve never read any of these. I hope you enjoy them when you get around to reading them.

  14. I haven’t read any book on your list since romance genre isn’t my usual go-to, but I love seeing what books resonate with others! Always interesting to hear different perspectives.

  15. I absolutely love The Graham Effect! I enjoyed The Deal so much so I was so happy for this next gen series!

  16. I’ve never heard of an of these! I am glad that you liked them!

  17. Nice topic choice and picks! These are all new to me ones! I prefer other books that have romance in them vs having romance being the focus of the story. Sometimes a few slip through that might be more romance focused though! Lol.

    Thanks for visiting my TTT!
