Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Look Forward To Releasing in the First Half of 2025

It’s the first Tuesday of the new year and welcome back to another Top Ten Tuesday! I was a bit confused, because I somehow was convinced this week’s topic would be 2025 Bookish Goals, but instead it’s The Most Anticipated Books of the First Half of 2025. I have tweaked the title a bit, because I’m not strongly anticipating many books. This year I want to focus more on my backlog, but I’ll get back to this next week. Without further ado, let’s take a look into the books I’m looking forward to!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

  1. Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros
  2. A Language of Dragons by S.F. Williamson
  3. Rebel Witch by Kristen Ciccarelli
  4. Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales by Heather Fawcett
  5. Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
  6. Every Borrowed Beat by Erin Stewart
  7. Watch Me by Tahereh Mafi
  8. Fearless by Lauren Roberts
  9. Six Days in Bombay by Alka Joshi
  10. Rewind It Back by Liz Tomforde

What books are you most looking forward to this first half of 2025?

  1. I’m definitely looking forward to Onyx Storm, Rebel Witch and Watch Me. Great list!

  2. I’m seeing so many people with the Emily Wilde novel on their list. Guess I’d better check out the first book in the series.

  3. I can’t believe she did another ___Me book either! It’s going to be a good reading year!

    1. I admit that it feels like milking out the series a bit, but it’s about James so that would be interesting!

  4. Definitely looking forward to Sunrise on the Reaping. Have a great week!

  5. Onyx Storm is popping up on a lot of lists!

  6. I still need to read Fourth Wing.

I need to concentrate on my backlog too. It will take me a couple of years though so 😶

    Have a great week!

So many people have added the new Emily Wilde book, I’d better read the first one as soon as possible then. A Language of Dragons sounds amazing! I hope you’ll love these books when you get to read them 🙂

  8. Onyx Storm looks like it could be a good read.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

  9. Several of these are on my TBR too! Onyx Storm and Rebel Witch are two I’m really looking forward to in particular.

  10. A Language of Dragons is one I’ve seen a couple times already! I’ll have to check it out. I hope you enjoy all of these.

  11. That Emily Wilde book has piqued my interest.

    1. It’s the third book in a series, keep this in mind before diving in 🙂

  12. Oh, I forgot about Rewind It Back – I’m definitely looking forward to that one too, as well as Onyx Storm and Fearless.

  14. I hope you get to these and enjoy them!

  15. SUNRISE ON THE REAPING has been VERY popular this week! I didn’t even realize there was another HG book coming out. Where have I been?? LOL. I hope you enjoy all these new releases.

  17. Great list! I need to catch up on The Empyrean series asap. So many books so little time 🙂 Happy reading.

  18. I’m curious about A Language of Dragons!

  19. Emily Wilde’s seems to be on everyone’s TTT this week, I haven’t even read the first one, though it is on my TBR for this coming week (Hopefully)

  20. I’m thrilled to see Sunrise On The Reaping here, I’m surprised by how little I’ve seen it actually. We have a couple of others in common too and I’ve just added two others that are new to me to my TBR too.

  21. I didn’t include it on my list, but I’m also looking forward to Sunrise on the Reaping! I keep worrying that I’ll get tired of Hunger Games books, but it hasn’t happened yet. Hope you enjoy all of these!

  22. I don’t blame you for wanting to deal with the backlog first. I am slowing down my ARC requests through NetGalley and have turned down several authors this week. I hope you have the opportunity to read all of these!

  23. I’m behind on Liz Tomforde but I’m still excited about her new book.

  24. Can’t wait to finally dive into Emily Wilde. So many bloggers love that series. Hope you enjoy these!

  25. I’m interested in the Joshi book. I really enjoyed her last trilogy. I hope you enjoy all of these reads.

  26. […] that means that the first half of 2025 is already gone. How?! Even though I didn’t read many of the books I was looking forward to for the first half of the year (I actually lost track of some), it’s time to find books I’m curious for in the second half of […]
