Welcome back to another Top ten Tuesday! For this week’s topic, we take a look at the oldest books on our TBR, this topic is suggested by Nicole over at Bookwyrm Knits. I’ve tried to figure out what books are the earliest published on my TBR, but I just couldn’t. To be honest, I’, not the type to pic up old books, so I gave this topic a little spin and I’ll list the earliest added books on my TBR instead. I clean this out a lot though, I even think I did so recently. But, let’s take a look in the books I keep ignoring, shall we?
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
- A Beautiful Mess by Claire Christian – Added on February 3, 2018. Will I ever read it? It definitely made it to numerous lists at this point.
- Charlie and I by Mark Lowery – Added on May 05, 2018. Another book I doubt I will be reading at this point. I still have it though.
- Running With Lions by Julian Winters – Added on June 10, 2018. I think this book has made it to numerous lists by now.
- Dossier 64 by Jussi Adler-Olsen – Added on June 16, 2018. The 4th book in a Danish thriller series. I’ve read the first 3 already.
- The Marco-Effect by Jussi Adler-Olsen – Added on June 16, 2018. This is book 5.
- Selfies by Jussi Adler-Olsen – Added on June 16, 2018. Book 7.
- Hart van vuur by Miranda Peters – Added on August 17, 2018. The second book in a Dutch YA trilogy. I’ve read book 1 back in 2018 I guess and I think I enjoyed it somehow, but can’t remember anything. Maybe I just should remove this, but I still have the book and got it as a gift. Hmm…
- Without Merit by Colleen Hoover – Added on October 29, 2018. Same story actually, I think this is this author’s least popular book and I just don’t resonate with her anymore I guess.
- The Boy in the Headlights by Samuel Björk – Added on November 10, 2018. The 3rd book in a Norwegian thriller series. I thoroughly enjoyed the first 2, but never came back. I still have this book on my digital shelf though. My actual problem is that I’ve outgrown thrillers I’m afraid.
- Till Death by Jennifer L. Armentrout – Added on December 29, 2018. A thriller by an author who’s work I actually enjoy. However, this is so old and didn’t get the best ratings so I’m torn once again.
So, these are the oldest books on my TBR. Should you recommend me to just remove (some of) them or still give them a fair chance?
