It’s Wednesday, so time to reflect on this past reading week and to look forward to the week ahead. What have I read? What am I reading and what will I be reading next? That’s what I’ll be telling you in this post.
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, where bloggers share the books that they’ve recently finished, what they are currently reading and what books they are planning to read next. Essentially you have to answer three questions (the Three Ws): What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? Since I’m a mood reader, you have to take my last W with a grane of salt though. So, let’s take a look into my 3 W’s, shall we?
What are you currently reading?
I’m still reading The Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore. I think I might just DNF this because I’m definitely not enjoying my reading experience. It’s not normal to take me this long to finish a cozy romance novel right? For me, it’s pretty boring and uninteresting. Much to my expecbtations, but also to my dismay. Besides, I’m listening to Born of Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Another book I’m not fully enjoying, it’s taking too long and it’s too slow-paced. Come on, it’s 770 pages long! This is my problem with the entire series unfortunately, it’s way too long and I get lost in thought when listening to the audiobook. I just need something to happen. I think this book could have been at least 400 pages shorter. The fact that I don’t really like Nyktos and Sera adds up to this all, but I want to read this book for the sake of finishing the series.
What did you recently finish reading?
I recently didn’t finish many books. I indeed finished When the World Tips Over by Jandy Nelson, you can find my book review for it here. Furthermore, I finished another Dutch book called Kleine gelukjes, written by a fellow (former) bookblogger Audrey Adelin. I was able to finish this book pretty quick, but it feels like I’m in some kind of a reading slump. October isn’t the best reading month for me yet again it seems.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I hope to find a book that I will enjoy and not push me in a reading slump. I’m not sure what this book will be add this point. I have to read Butcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver for the end of november, should I just pick up this one?
How was your reading weeek?
