Top Ten Tuesday: Books Involving Food

I have been a little absent from Top Ten Tuesday because I was not able to participate fully in this meme. I mean, I could have written the posts, but didn’t have the time and possibility to bloghop and interact. Therefore I choose to let it slide for the past weeks. However, I’m back and this week I’m talking about books involving food, but aren’t cookbooks. This topic is suggested by Cathy @ WhatCathyReadNext and Lisa @ Hopewell’s Public Library of Life.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

  1. I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy – About relationships to food.
  2. Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree
  3. The French Cookery School by Caroline James
  4. Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan
  5. The Cafe by the Sea by Jenny Colgan
  6. Meet Me at the Cupcake Cafe by Jenny Colgan
  7. The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli – The main character loves to bake
  8. Café Con Lychee by Emery Lee
  9. Before I let Go by Kennedy Ryan – The main characters are restaurant owners
  10. Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco – Again, the main character works in the restaurant her family owns

Have you read any of these books?

  1. I’ve only read Kingdom of the Wicked but there are a few on this list I’d like to read. Great list!

  2. I see you have a few Jenny Colgan books here, and they are ones I haven’t read yet.

I haven’t read any of yours either. I’ll have to look them up.

  8. I’ve read 3 of these. I need to try Colgan’s. I always tend to especially enjoy books revolving around bakeries.

    1. Just read them for the vibes, the plot is quite thin.

  9. Ah! I already forgot Kerri Maniscalco’s series had a connection to food and I literally just thought of another little one too! Yeah one of the first things I thought of was the Lux series with the “food” scenes! lol. I had to use them bc of that alone!

    Thanks for visiting my TTT!

  10. I listened to Legends & Lattes, and the second book after that (a prequel). I’ve read some Jenny Colman, I think, but not the food ones!
I’ve been the same with not having blogging time to participate in TTT for a while, but I’m home sick this week, so just lying in bed, sleeping off and on all day.

  11. Oooh, I’m Glad My Mom Died is such a poignant choice in relation to food. Legends and Lattes is a great choice too! I haven’t read the others.
