Top Ten Tuesday: Books that Give Off Summer Vibes

It’s Tuesday again and super hot when I’m writing this post the weekend before. On Monday it was even hotter, well into the 30 degrees Celsius range. And as the sun is burning on my home office window from noon till sundown, you can imagine how happy I was to be working at the office that day. So, I didn’t have any brain capacity left for this week’s topic, Books featuring modes of Transportation on the cover/in the title. I can find nothing on my shelves and just was too drained to look for those books. So, I digged into the archives and found a much more suitable topic: Books that Give Off Summer Vibes. And yes, I’m sure you see some familiar ones, but they fit multiple prompts!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

  1. Did I mention I Love You? by Estelle Maskame
  2. Royals by Rachel Hawkins
  3. Every Summer After, Meet Me At the Lake and This Summer Will Be Different by Carley Fortune
  4. Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
  5. The French Cookery School by Caroline James
  6. Flawless and Heartless by Elsie Silver
  7. If You Still Recognise Me by Cynthia So
  8. Summer at the Comfort Food Cafe by Debbie Johnson
  9. Talon by Julie Kagawa
  10. Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Just to name a few, there are much more books that would fit this list.

Which book gives off summer vibes for you?

  1. It just got cool here 😂 for me it’s like cozy beachside mysteries or those fast-paced thrillers that you can read without putting a lot of investment in!

  2. I loved Malibu Rising!

  3. Love & Gelato is a good pick.

  4. Malibu Rising is an excellent choice for summer vibes. Love your change in topic 🩷

  5. I’ve not read any of the books on your list, but I can see where you get the summer vibes. Hopefully, you are able to have a break from the heat.

I hope you get some cooler temperatures soon. We’ve had rain this week, in Missouri, and it’s a relief from the heat.

  9. Both the title and cover for Love & Gelato scream summer!

  13. It’s the depths of winter for me but today is a very unseasonable 23*C. I really need to read Love & Gelato, it’s been on my Wishlist for a really long time.

  14. Love & Gelato’s a good one! We measure in Fahrenheit, so I was curious what our temp would be in Celsius. Today we’ll be at almost 38 degrees Celsius. So, I feel your pain!

  15. It’s still super hot here in Arizona too. In fact, our backyard pool is too warm to swim in. It feels like bathwater. Ick.

I’m very much done with summer. I need some Fall book vibes to help me feel cooler 🙂 Ha ha.

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
