Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Favorite Books from Ten Series

We’ve been talking about series a lot with Top Ten Tuesday, but we never looked into our favorite books from said series. So, this week it’s time to do just that.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Usually I link to the books on Goodreads, but not this week to avoid spoilers. Therefore I won’t go into detail why the listed books are my favorites within a series either.

  1. A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses #2) by Sarah J. Maas
  2. Night of the Dragon (Shadow of the Fox #3) by Julie Kagawa
  3. Winter (The Lunar Chronicles #4) by Marissa Meyer
  4. BreakingDawn (The Twilight Saga #4) by Stephenie Meyer
  5. Mockingjay (The Hunger Games #3) by suzanne Collins
  6. Kingdom of Ash (Throne of Glass #7) by Sarah J. Maas
  7. Ignite Me (Shattter Me#3) by Tahereh Mafi
  8. Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices #3) by Cassandra Clare
  9. Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #1) by Laini Taylor
  10. Jade Legacy (The Green Bone Saga #3) by Fonda Lee

Do you have favorite books within your favorite series?

  1. Mockingjay is an amazing conclusion

  2. A Court of Mist and Fury has been on a few different lists this week!

  3. I used to see SO much about Cassandra’s books. Back in the days when booktube was a big thing, everyone seemed to love those. I didn’t ever read them, and I think I donated the couple I owned. I did see the Mortal Instruments movie though. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting my website today.

  4. Breaking Dawn and Clockwork Princess made my list this week. 😀 Great minds thing alike.

PS. I’ve added alt text to my post and I hope it works if you decide to come by my blog. If it doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll work on another solution.

    1. I’ll check tomorrow, thank you!

  5. This week I focused on the first book of series I’ve enjoyed reading. It helps reduce the chance of spoilers, but also introduces people to the beginning of a series they may not know about.

  6. The first time I read Mockingjay, I didn’t really like how it ended but with time I think it was actually really good.

  7. It’s interesting that you said WINTER is your favorite book in the Lunar Chronicles series. Everyone else has said CRESS, it seems. I enjoyed all the books, but I honestly can’t remember which I thought was best! My memory is terrible. LOL

    Happy TTT!

  8. ACOMAF is also my favourite one in that series!

  9. Mockingjay was so good. It was really hard to pick which book from that series I liked the best – the whole thing is such a great read.

  10. So many good ones! I loved the Lunar Chronicles books — I think Cress was my favorite, but they were all excellent!

  11. I’ve be curious to know if anybody doesn’t agree that A Court of Mist and Fury is the best of the series XD

  12. I found a series here where I have read the first book. Granted, with my book club, I don’t think I would have started it otherwise. But it was not bad. The Hunger Games.

    This is my list:

  13. Love to see the love for Mockingjay – I remember blasting through the second half of that one and always felt it a shame that the film(s) didn’t quite do it justice!

  14. Definitely agree with A Court of Mist and Fury! I tried to think of a favorite book in the Throne of Glass series, but I couldn’t choose. A sign I need to do a re-read maybe 🙂

    1. Yes do it! I’ve paused mine because I can’t do it in this heat LOL.

  15. Jade Legacy was such a great ending to that series!
