Top Ten Tuesday: how Well Did I Do On My Spring 2024 TBR?

It’s Tuesday again, which means time for yet another Top Ten Tuesday! This week’s topic is not something I’d like to participate in, because it’s Bookish Wishlists. I’d rather reflect on this year’s Spring TBR, since it’s time to put together my Summer TBR very soon. If only the weather gets this memo… For your information, it’s just past 10PM on Monday, the 10th of June and it’s 11(!!!!!!) degrees outside. Not spring at all, let alone summer. Oh wel… Let’s take a look on how I did on this past seasonal TBR, shall we?

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

  1. One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid – I wanted, really wanted, to pick this up. But it didn’t happen and I have no excuse as for why not.
  2. True Biz by Sara Novic – I finally picked up this book and even though it was quite interesting, the story itsself is quite forgetable. [review]
  3. A Touch of Ruin by Scarlett St. Clair – I unfortunately didn’t feel like reading this book at this moment.
  4. The Women by Kristin Hannah – Yes, I listened to this as an audiobook and I was impressed by it. [review]
  5. Tokyo Dreaming by Emiko Jean – I really need to pick this book up at this point, don’t I?
  6. The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata – And yet another book I haven’t picked up.
  7. Twisted Lies by Ana Huang – Oops, haven’t picked this one up either.
  8. Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross – I give up with this post at this point LOL, because I haven’t read this book either yet.
  9. Heartless by Elsie Silver – Okay, I can breathe now, because here’s a book I actually have read. Even though I enjoyed it less than Flawless, I still liked it. [review]
  10. The Final Strife by Saara El-Arifi – I tried, but i couldn’t get through this book. So, it was a DNF for me.

Out of the 10 books, I only read 4 of which 1 was a DNF. I hope you did better than me on your Spring 2024 TBR!

  1. Spring isn’t technically over until the equinox, so there’s…time…..technically. XD

You read many of them though!! It happens! Thanks for dropping by my post!

  3. I think you did a good job on your spring TBR.

  4. 4 out of 10 is still pretty focused! And I definetly think DNFs still count for the attempt.

  5. Finished four of the ten, and a DNF? It sounds like you got through half of your TBR, and that’s not bad in my opinion.

    1. I finished 3 and DNF the 4th 🙂

  6. Want to trade weather? It was 111 degrees here in Arizona today. Ugh. Thank goodness for air conditioning and swimming pools! I’d die otherwise. Literally.

    Happy TTT!
