Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Was Super Excited to Get My Hands on but Still Haven’t Read

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week, it’s confession time! What books have I been super excited to haul but haven’t read yet? This is a mixture of books I both hauled recently and a while ago.

  1. One True Loves by Taylor jenkins Reid
  2. Running With Lions by Julian Winters
  3. Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales
  4. The Fell of Dark by Caleb Roehrig
  5. All the Things We never Knew by Liara Tamani
  6. Tyler Johnson Was Here by Jay Coles (excited isn’t the right word, but I have been interested in this book ever since its publication)
  7. The Death of Vivek Oji by Akwaeke Emezi ( I don’t own this book that long because I want to read this in Dutch for the fact it’s been written in Nigerian English)
  8. Summer at the Art Cafe by Sue McDonagh
  9. Reputation by Lex Croucher
  10. The Gravity of Us by Phil Stamper

As you may see, there’s a lot of YA on this list, I think I should give these books a fair chance though. I barely read YA books anymore, but I have too many left unread, so that would be a waste of money LOL. And in all seriousness, I’m sure there are pretty good stories amongst these!

What books were you super excited about to haul, but haven’t read yet?

  3. I still need to read Tyler Johnson Was Here, too.

Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.

  4. I haven’t read from Taylor Jenkins Reid yet but I hope to! I’m weirdly intimidated by their books–maybe it’s because everyone seems to love them. 🙂

  5. I haven’t read any of these! I have has One True Loves on my shelf for so long!

  6. I was excited to preorder The Sun and the Star last year and even more excited when it arrived on my doorstep. So why is it still sitting on my bookshelf unread? I hope you enjoy reading all of these when you get the chance.

I listened to One True Loves on audio and really enjoyed it. I loved Summer at the Art Cafe – it’s a great series!

  9. I don’t know anything about it, but “Summer at the Art Cafe” sounds interesting from its title alone!

  10. Summer at the Art Cafe sounds good. I’m new to most of these. Hope you can get to them soon!

  11. I haven’t even heard of most of these, but I don’t read a lot of YA these days. I hope you enjoy all these when you get to them.

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

  12. The only one I’ve read from your list is One True Loves, but I can’t remember much about it. I’ve loved most of TJR’s books though, so I’m sure it was great! I hope you enjoy all of these when you get to them!
