Top Ten Tuesday: Unread Books on My Shelves I Want to Read Soon

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Okay trust me, I will be sounding like a broken record today, because many books on this week’s Top Ten Tuesday list have made it to several lists already. However, I still haven’t picked them up, so will this be the push I need?

  1. True Biz by Sara Novic – At this point, i think this book has made it to multiple list in 2024 alone, so it’s time to pick it up. It has been on my shelf since release, so that’s since either 2022 or 2023. I can’t remember.
  2. Fallon by Soraya Naomi – This one has been on my shelf even longer, since 2018 I suppose. It’s a maffia romance and I never read that before, so yeah let’s see.
  3. For Luca by Soraya Naomi – This is the second book in the “Chicago syndicate” series and is as long on my shelf as the previous book, Fallon. I bought them at the same time, oops.
  4. Rebel by Rebecca Yarros – I’ve mentioned this book before, I’m sure. But, it has been sitting on my shelf since 2019.
  5. Trial of the Sun Queen by Nisha J. Tuli – This is on of my recent additions, but I hope to read it soon.
  6. Heartless by Elsie Silver – I want to read this ASAP honestly. It hasn’t been sitting on my shelf for long though.
  7. Fall With Me by Jay Lynn – This has been on my shelf since like 2018 as well. I bought all six books in this “Wait For You” series at once, but only read the first 3 so far. I can’t read them back to back though.
  8. Hide and Seek by M.J. Arlidge – The sixth book in the “Helen Grace” series and it has been sitting on the shelf since about 2020. I already started this series in 2017 though. I barely read thrillers these days, so it’s taking me forever to pick them up. How soon will soon be for this one? I don’t know yet.
  9. Code of Honor by Alan Gratz – i’ve been meaning to read this book for years now, but it still hasn’t happened. I think I own it since 2019 or 2020.
  10. Happy Place by Emily Henry – I haven’t had the best reading experiences with this author, but I want to read this book ASAP to decide whether I would give her upcoming release a try or not.

Have you read any of these? What unread books do you hope to read soon?

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

  3. As much as I adore Rebecca Yarros (I seriously love her contemporary romances), I have yet to read her Renegades series. I hope you mange to dive into Rebel sooner rather than later!

    1. Yeah she’s one of my autobuy authors and as much as I enjoyed Fourth Wing, I think her contemporary romances are stronger. I’ve read the rest of Renegades already in 2019 🙈

  4. I have Elsie Silver in my shelf too, her books seems fun

  5. Interesting you haven’t much enjoyed Emily Henry. Me neither and I thought I would. Haven’t read Happy Place but maybe I’ll give her one last chance!

    1. That’s exactly what I was planning to do!

  6. I have the Emily Henry one in my list too. I hope we both enjoy it.

  7. I enjoyed reading Book Lovers, but I struggled with Happy Place. So much so that it was a DNF for me. I want to give Henry one more try; if it doesn’t work then I’ll move on.

  9. Hope you enjoy all of these when you get around to them eventually!

  10. I loved Happy Place, but I do enjoy Emily Henry’s books so that one is probably not super helpful to you haha. I have read Heartless (I’m up to Reckless) and it was fine.

  11. I really need to read from Rebecca Yarros and Elsie Silver! I’ve been seeing their books nonstop on Goodreads! I’m currently reading Emily Henry now too, and it’s not my favorite book so far, but I get why people enjoy her books. I hope you have better love with Happy Place! 💕
