Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
So, after spring, summer and fall, it’s time to put some books on my winter 2023 TBR. I hope to get to at least a few of them, although I’m a massive mood reader.
- House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas – I have to practice my patience just a little longer, because this book will be out in January. I don’t think I have to tell anybody that I’m eagerly awaiting this release and that I will probably abandon all other books I’m reading once this drops.
- Glow by Raven Kennedy – I just couldn’t be bothered reading this in the fall, so maybe I can be in winter.
- Flawless by Elsie Silver – This book was one I actually hoped to read in the fall, but I didn’t get to it. Well, let’s hope I’m more successful during winter.
- Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood – I know I know, I’m drifting away from YA, but I want to give this author another chance. I really really really disliked The Love Hypothesis, i thought the student-professor relationship was quite toxic and there was to much science in it. So, let’s see if this one works better for me.
- Sword Catcher by Cassandra Clare – I honestly don’t trust the fact literally nobody seems to be talking about this book, but I’m still curious anyway. In fact, I think it sounds pretty cool!
- Twisted Hate by Ana Huang – I want to make progress on this series.
- Peach Blossom Spring by Melissa Fu – I have bought this book a long while ago, but I haven’t read it yet. I hope to get more quality reading done instead of quantity, because my fall books were not that great, and this one sounds like it would meet this preference.
- A Touch of Ruin by Scarlett St. Clair – I’ve read the first book in this series this summer and I know I have to read Hades’ first book first, but I’m reading this series in Dutch and they choose to translate this book instead. I think they first translate the books from Persephones POV, but I’m not that sure. Maybe they won’t translate Hades’ books at all. I just don’t know.
- Hallowed Ground by Rebecca Yarros – This book is on my TBR AND in possession since 2018 and I haven’t read it yet. I’ve read the first 3 books in this series though.
- The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath – Let’s not forget about this book, shal we?
Which books are you hoping to get to this winter?
