WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, where bloggers share the books that they’ve recently finished, what they are currently reading and what books they are planning to read next. Essentially you have to answer three questions (the Three Ws): What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? Since I’m a mood reader, you have to take my last W with a grane of salt though. So, let’s take a look into my 3 W’s, shall we?
What are you currently reading?
I decided to pause The Toll for now, so I won’t be mentioning it in these posts anymore until I decide to give it another try. It’s still on my currently reading shelf though, but I’m about to change that.
I started A Fire in the Flesh by Jennifer L. Armentrout and I’m sorry but I still don’t like Sera. She’s lacking personality and she doesn’t stand out at all. I keep thinking it’s Poppy whose story I’m reading because these two are portrayed so similarly. Poppy is more badass in my opinion though. Also, I had a hard time to remember what happened right before the first chapter of this book. I will finish it, but I just can’t wait for more Poppy and Casteel.
Finally, I am reading a Dutch fantasy thriller, November by Thomas Olde Heuvelt. Unfortunately I’m not really enjoying it, I enjoyed this author’s older books more. He’s a huge Stephen King fan and that shows, even in the structure of this story. Also, I don’t like the fact this book is set in the USA while the first draft was set in the Netherlands. I’d rather have that, because why should everything take place in the USA? The other books mainly took place in the Netherlands though.
What did you recently finish reading?
Falling Hard for the Royal Guard by Megan Clawson and I’m sorry, but I hated it. The setting was the best part of the entire book and I hated every second of it otherwise.
What do you think you’ll read next?
There’s only one possible answer here, but I already might have started it once this post is published 👁. Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros is the correct answer.
