Top Ten Tuesday: Books With Weather Events in the Title

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

So, this week it’s time to provide you guys with books with weather events in the title. Again, I scrolled Goodreads randomly, so this doesn’t mean I have read said book or that it will be on my TBR.

  1. The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon – A YA contemporary about dancing. I’ve read it and I felt it was okay.
  2. The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan – My – and probaly everyone’s – introduction to Camp Halfblood and I enjoyed it. I still have to continue this series though.
  3. Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon – Can it be more obvious? LOL. I’ve read this book and I thought it was overhyped. It got a lot of buzz (which made me curious and excited) and I thought it was just okay.
  4. Fifty Words for Rain by Asha Lemmie – This book is quite heavy-themed to read, but it has the depth I’m longing for in my stories every now and then.
  5. The Storm Sister by Lucinda Riley – The second book in the “The Seven Sisters” series and I enjoyed this one.
  6. The Sun Sister by Lucinda Riley – Book 6 in the same series and after a tough start I was invested.
  7. A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard – A YA contemporary that I still haven’t read but has been sitting on my Kindle app for a long while now. I’m not sure whether I’m still able to read this as I read lesser YA now.
  8. Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch – Another YA fantasy I’ve read years ago and I thought it was enjoyable. However, I never finished the series.
  9. A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini – I nearly forgot to add this book to the list, but go read it if you haven’t read it yet.
  10. Midnight Sun by Trish Cook – I thought this story would be emotionally investing back in the day but actually it’s quite shallow. No, I haven’t seen the movie that has been made of this book.

Have you read any of these books yet or are you planning on reading one or more?

  8. I’ve read #s 2 & 9 and liked both of them, but I haven’t read any of the others. Fun list for this week’s TTT. And thanks for commenting on my blog earlier. 😀

  9. Nice list! A few sound familiar, though I have not read any

  10. Nice list! I really loved Weather Girl, and Percy Jackson, of course. I’m kind of curious about some of the others on the list though.

Great list, Laurie. I absolutely love A Thousand Splendid Suns but my TTT has mainly snow and storm. Severe weather conditions make for more interesting plots, I guess.
