WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, where bloggers share the books that they’ve recently finished, what they are currently reading and what books they are planning to read next. Essentially you have to answer three questions (the Three Ws): What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? Since I’m a mood reader, you have to take my last W with a grane of salt though. So, let’s take a look into my 3 W’s, shall we?
What are you currently reading?
Currently I’m reading Thieves’ Gambit by Kayvion Lewis. This is a YA mystery of some sorts and I know I’m drifting away from YA, but I’m always too curious for my own good when The Hunger Games is compared to. However, I don’t think a comparison to such a classic in the genre is fair, because my expectations are too high. So far, I’m not overjoyed but it reads easily.
Secondly, I’m rereading Kingdom of the Cursed by Kerri Maniscalco. I wasn’t the biggest fan of this book when it came out, but now the Dutch translation got published. I’m moving forward quite fast, but I’m again not really invested in the story itself.
What did you recently finish reading?
I finished both last week’s reads: Solitaire by Alice Oseman and Fall of Ruin and Wrath by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Both books didn’t manage to deliver what I’d expected them to do. However, my reviews for both will be up pretty soon.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Definitely The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by S.A. Chakraborty, but I first want to read a Dutch book, a new one in a series I read during my teenage years. So this will be pure nostalgia.
