It’s nearly October and that’s one of the busiest months in publishing of the second half of the year. However, there are not many books I’m anticipating this month and I honestly don’t mind. So, I put the most important releases out there.
I just read and reviewed Icebreaker, but the second book in the Maple Hills series will already be published soon. However, I’m still on the fence about reading this.
The final instalment in the Once Upon A Broken Heart trilogy. I’ve actually pre-ordered this title, but canceled it LOL. I’ve enjoyed the first 2 books, but I’m noticing I’m drifting a way from YA lately and I didn’t feel like I needed to get this book immediately upon release anymore. Again, this is me and my reading taste evolving, not the book or the series itself.
I’m absolutely not ready to pick this book up yet, I first have to finish the Twisted series and then the first 2 books of the Kings of Sin series. This is book 3 and I bet many people are most excited about this!
This is probably the only book I’m really looking forward to in October! This is the start of a new series by Cassandra Clare and I’m honestly so curious what she will write outside of the Shadowhunters world. Also, this book is categorised as an adult fantasy and YA authors transitioned into adult fantasy are not always succesful.
Another JLA book and the third one in the Flesh and Fire series. I’m more a fan of Poppy and Casteel, but I can’t avoid Sera’s and Nyktos’ story so I will definitely read this.
And yet another YA author transitioning into adult fantasy, Kerri Maniscalco. This book is a stand alone, set in the world of Kingdom of the Wicked whith Prince Envy as the main character. i keep an eye on it, because I wasn’t the biggest fan of the previous books I’ve read by this author.
Unfortunately there are not many new romance releases this month and the ones that are being published are Christmas themed. And let that be the kind of books I dislike… I really don’t like reading festive books so that’s why there’s not much for me.
Which new books are you really looking forward to?
