WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, where bloggers share the books that they’ve recently finished, what they are currently reading and what books they are planning to read next. Essentially you have to answer three questions (the Three Ws): What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? Since I’m a mood reader, you have to take my last W with a grane of salt though. So, let’s take a look into my 3 W’s, shall we?
What are you currently reading?
I’m reading two fantasy books at the moment and I honestly doubt whether this was a clever idea. Firstly, I’m reading Girl, Goddess, Queen by Bea Fitzgerald. It was a book I was highly anticipating, but up until now I feel a little let down. Although the writing is easy to follow, it’s also easy to put the book aside.
Secondly, I’m reading Immortal Longings by Chloe Gong. I have different reading experiences with books by this author, but due to all the positive reviews on blogs I was intrigued and wanted to read it. Only to find out about so many negative reviews and I agree on all of them thus far. I. Am. So. Bored. Also the audiobook narration adds up to this feeling. Maybe I’ll do a soft DNF, maybe I’m just not in the mood. Or it’s really that bad.
What did you recently finish reading?
Last week it was so incredibly hot for the time of year and therefore I really wanted something easy. I went for Meet Me ath the Lake by Carley Fortune and that was a good choice. My review will be up tomorrow.
The second book I finished was The Henna Artist by Alka Joshi, a book that has been on my TBR for a good while now. I enjoyed reading it, although I expected more?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I have many books to choose from, but Icebreaker by Hannah Grace is a potential pick.
