Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
So since this week is a freebie, I decided to check in on an earlier topic. I am the worst in sticking to a TBR, so I wanted to check in on my Spring 2023 TBR. Did I read all the books I was hoping to read back then? Let’s find out!
- The Girl With the Louding Voice by Abi Darรฉ – No, I still haven’t read it. I keep forgetting about this book somehow and that’s just so unfortunate.
- Legends & lattes by Travis Baldree – Yes, but I had to DNF it. I just couldn’t do this, I was so bored all the time.
- Tokyo Dreaming by Emiko Jean – No, but I’m planning to pick this up soon to catch up on my reading challenge. It’s such a fast-paced book so I can get back on track with it sooner rather than later.
- A Thousand Heartbeats by Kiera Cass – Yes! Unfortunatley it was not really for me. [my review]
- Every Summer After by Carley Fortune – Yes! However, I expected something totally different from what I got though. [my review]
- I Wish You All the Best by Mason Deaver – Yes, I’ve also read this! [my review]
- Love from Mecca to Medina by S.K. Ali – No, not yet. So many books….. We all know the second part of this phrase right?
- In the Lives of Puppets by T.J. Klune – No, I haven’t read this either. To be honest, this book seems to fly under the radar altogether.
- Fresh Blood by Nicole Arend – Absolutely and this was a pleasant surprise! [my review]
- The Switch by Beth O’Leary – Yes, but unfortunately I wasn’t as hyped as many other readers. [my review]
When looking back on this TBR, I’m surprised how many books I actually managed to read in the past few months and I did a pretty good job sticking to it!
Verdict: 5 out of 10, 6 if you include my DNF.
Did you set yourself a Spring TBR and how well did you do in sticking to it?
