Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic was completely different, but since it’s liberation week I decided to put a spotlight on some novels that take place in World War II. On May 5, 1945, the Netherlands was liberated from a 5-year long occupation by Nazi-Germany. It used to be a national holiday, but that has been reduced to once every 5 years. However, there are festivities every year. On May 4, we remember the victims of this war and all the other wars the world has known. Therefore, I’d rather do something completely different this week.
