Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

So, what did I do? I randomly selected titles: read, on the TBR or not my cup of tea at all. I hope you find some inspiration from these!
- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Chronicles of Narnia, #1) by C.S. Lewis: I haven’t read this book or this series at all. I went to see the movie so many years ago when it was in theatres, but I don’t think I’m interested in reading the books.
- Sixteen Horses by Greg Buchanan: I’ve tried this thriller, but I honestly hated it. I was bored the entire time and it didn’t meet my expectations at all.
- The Bear and the Nightingale (The Winternight Trilogy, #1) by Katherine Arden: How could I not put this book in a list with animals in titles? I liked this book, loved the next one and was disappointed by the last one in this trilogy. Just to review this series in a nutshell.
- Running With Lions by Julian Winters: Okay I still haven’t read this book and I am truly not sure if I ever will since I keep postponing it.
- The Last Days of Rabbit Hayes by Anna McPartlin: I can’t for the life of me remember where I found this book, but I remember I’ve read it so many years ago. It’s not about an animal, but Rabbit is the main character’s nickname. It’s an emotional ride though.
- Cat’s Eye by Margaret Atwood: I’ve never heard of this book, but when I put “cat” in the Goodreads search bar this one came up, so yeah why not.
- White Cat (Curse Workers, #1) by Holly Black: Okay so another cat, yay! I won’t read this one as I have had bad experiences with Black’s older work, but the younger readers might like this.
- The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami: Okay there is a bird in it so it counts. I’ve never read a book by this author and I honestly doubt if his work is for me. Many people seem to love it though.
- The Tiger at Midnight (The Tiger at Midnight Trilogy, #1) by Swati Teerdhala: I can’t remember whether I started this book or not, but I’m a little on the fence about this. I tend to struggle a lot with Asian inspired fantasy, the writing seems more complex. Especially when English is not your native language. Because of this, I often DNF those books.
- Catfish Rolling by Clara Kumagai: I know this is a little cheating, because a catfish is not an actual animal. But a cat and fish are, so I put it in here. Furthermore, I want to read this book.
Have you read any of these books?
