Let’s Talk Bookish: Spring Books

Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme that was originally created and hosted by Rukky @ Eternity Books starting in August 2019, and was then cohosted by Dani @ Literary Lion from May 2020 to March 2022. Since April 2022, the meme moved to another host, Aria @ Book Nook Bits. Let’s Talk Bookish is a meme where participants discuss certain topics, share their opinions, and share their love by visiting each other’s posts.

This topic is provided by our host Aria and is all about Spring books. That’s a funny coincidence, because outside it’s 15 degrees Celsius all of a sudden. Spring really is in the air now.

Prompts: What books do you like to read in spring? What makes you feel the change in the seasons? Is it the cover, or the content? Do you read certain genres in spring, or books set during the season? What books are on your spring 2023 tbr?

What books do you like to read in spring?

Well, I don’t have a certain seasonal type of books. I’ve a huge mood reader. However, I tend to pick up more of the lighter reads in spring and summer, but I can also pick up a grimm and dark fantasy all of a sudden.

What makes you feel the change in the seasons? Is it the cover, or the content?

Hmmmmmm I’m not one who cares about the cover, so it’s more off the content. I take care of that slightly. I won’t be reading a Christmas book in spring (okay I don’t like Christmas books at all so yeah). If Christmas is part of the overall story I’m fine, but not a whole snowy vibe. I don’t need that. However, I don’t read seasonal or a cerrtain genre as stated at the previous prompt. Gosh this one is hard because I feel like I’m repeating myself constantly LOL.

What books are on your spring 2023 tbr?

I’m the worst in sticking to a TBR since I’m a mood reader. Funny again, because last Tuesday, the Spring 2023 TBR was a Top Ten Tuesday topic and you can find all the books I hope to read in that post.

How about you? Do you read a certain type of books in Spring or doesn’t that matter that much for you?
