Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Heroes and Heroines

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topic is Favorite Heroines, but I decide to make a list of both heroes and heroines. Without further ado, here’s my list.

  • Feyre from ACOTAR: She’s super timid at first, but once she decides to fight back, she starts to get fierce. Well, she has a lot of trauma to heal from.
  • Nesta from ACOTAR: Well she’s a proper b*tch in the first 3 books but in A Court Of Silver Flames you witness her change and growing.
  • Celaena/Aelyn from Throne of Glass: I can’t go into detail because of spoilers, but she takes no bullshit.
  • Iko from The Lunar Chronicles: Heroes or heriones don’t have to be human right? Andorids can be too.
  • Inej from Six Of Crows: I really didn’t like this series – I know I’m in the minority here – but Inej made it sufferable with her heroic actions.
  • Alex and Henry from Red, White, and Royal Blue: Do heroes need to be in fantasy all the time? No. They both fight against the current constitution by just being themselves.
  • Fletcher from The Summoner series: I don’t know why, but have a male lead in YA fantasyis just so refreshing.
  • Helen Grace from the Helen Grace series: She is just a fierce inspector who gets in trouble majorly, but still finds her way out of it and despite all her trauma she solves many murders.
  • Jane Rizooli from the Rizzoli & Isles series: She also does whatever it takes to investigate many murders.

Do you have favorite heroes or heroines?

  1. A good looking list. I nearly included some characters from ACOTAR

    Have a great week

  2. Feyre is such a good choice – I love seeing her growth throughout the books. She took care of her family so we knew she’d be amazing, then she really went up from there.

    Happy Tuesday!

  3. I haven’t read any of these books, but these ladies sound great.

  4. Other than The Lunar Chronicles, I haven’t read any of these books. Iko is very lovable, isn’t she?

    Happy TTT!

  5. I had Nina from Six of Crows on my list, but I love Inej too (but then I did actually really like the book in general!).
